Think For Yourself

We live in a society that likes to take the easy way out. Take a pill for the cause of the tension, instead of getting to the root of the problem and solving naturally. It covers up and diverts you from what should be done. You receive no real healing of the cause of tension. We tend to let others opinion guide us instead of thinking for ourselves. The choice is yours! Either go along with the majority of society and end up living a life of quiet frustration, or guide yourself by your inner wisdom to a fulfillment in life.

We must learn and absolutely want to receive direction from a higher source. We must learn to be aware of the illusions that can take over our life, which is a result of allowing the ego to guide us. We must have a sincere desire to be true to our soul and destiny in life, as determined by Nature, the Universe, and God.

Here are a few affirmations that can help you throughout your day:

  • Try to maintain an easygoing mental attitude. Remain at peace and keep your composure, if you do, the right answers to rise above any problem will come.
  • Yield your personal ego to influencing your higher mind.
  • When you sleep at night, ask your higher mind to influence your subconscious with the right direction to take in your life. These subconscious impressions will surface during your conscious daily activities.
  • If you find yourself overanalyzing a situation, it’s unlikely your thoughts have come from your higher mind.
  • Believe in those inner gut feelings. You must stay open to them.
  • Be sure to know the difference between your intuitive response from the emotional response. Emotional responses come from your personal ego or the influence of others. Believe and think for yourself!
  • If an action or a response lacks ethics, don’t do it.
  • Every day you are guided by your higher mind.
  • Believe that every day your thoughts are being guided by your higher God-mind.
  • Remember that your thoughts and words manifest what will happen in your life.

Before you start your day, go into a meditative state of consciousness and visualize yourself at peace doing your daily activities. In your minds eye see yourself surrounded by a pure white spiritual light. Believe you are being influenced by your higher God-mind.

Give thanks and believe it is so…and so it is!

Having Failed Symbolizes Having Faith

We all love a winner, right? Nature, or God’s perfection is within us at all times. It’s that human spirit that drives us to win, but in most cases before winning, we’ve experienced failure. Having the faith to continue and picking ourselves up will eventually move us further up the road to success.

Once we’ve won or achieved success, that vibration resonates within and becomes a daily part of our lives. Life will become a wonderful game and the glooms are no longer a part of our makeup. We will then begin to be grateful and praise life and its rewards, instead of blaming life or everyone for its failures.

We all have the same power within us to be a winner. God made it so. We all have that spirit to move us to win, which gives us the power to do it. Knowing this truth offers the proof that we are indeed a winner!

Believe that you are greater than any obstacle in front of you. Obstacles only have temporary power over us. Don’t let your mind dwell on failure frustration. Spend time meditating to change your negative thoughts and know you have the power to raise your consciousness above the mental level of the problem.

Winning is positivism. Only allow positive thoughts to enter your mind. Make full use of your time and it will create a winning consciousness and attract success. Your soul has a life purpose, once you have tuned into that purpose, your life will flow smoothly because you have the spiritual power behind everything you do.

We are all here for a reason! Never doubt that! A winner never quits. It’s been said time and again, the only true failures are quitting and never having tried. Don’t dwell on past failures. Always look ahead in your mind to new victories.

Here are a few affirmations to say while in a light state of meditation:

  • The God power within me is greater than any obstacle in front of me.
  • I think only positive thoughts.
  • Failure is a thing of the past.
  • The winning purpose of my soul vibrates through my thoughts every day.
  • God created me, so that power within me can create winning conditions in my life.
  • I contain the Universal perfection to be a winner.

Meditate and visualize yourself as a winner, whatever that means to you. Believe it is so, give thanks…and so it is!

Reading Label Ingredients Can Save Your Child’s Health

During my journey to better health, I learned a great deal about reading label ingredients and understanding exactly what I was putting into my mouth. I also learned through my wellness doctor that over the past 40-50 years, our foods have become so horribly over-processed, that it’s no wonder we have a rise in food allergies in our children, adult diabetes, heart disease, and digestive issues.

I never had a problem with any of those health issues stated above in my twenties, thirties, and even early forties, but in my early fifties life sure did change in my household. After dealing with serious digestive and thyroid issues, and not being able to eat MANY things, I learned that what I put in my mouth meant more than I realized.

Fast forward eight months, and I’m healthier, happier, and have more energy. But not without changing my food choices, staying committed, and reading labels. What has struck a chord with me is the question, how is this processed food affecting our children? Are we setting them up for major health issues later on in life…at an earlier age?

One of the things I was told, going through menopause, is that soy was poison for me while I was on Premarin. I didn’t know that, and as I began reading the labels on the foods I was eating, I found soy lecithin in many of the products, even Pam cooking spray. When I cut these products out, or found organic substitutes, I lost between fifteen-twenty pounds, some of which was water weight. I was shocked.

There are MANY debates on soy…is it good or bad? For me, it was bad and I fear when young girls are consuming soy, what is it doing to their bodies at a young age and over time? Will they develop breast cancer? Here are two articles that are very informative. One by Dr. Axe, and Jordan Davidson. I guess it’s up to you to decide, but for me, I’m glad I’ve cut it out of my diet. It’s also not a great thing for men and boys to consume.

The other ingredient I was told to avoid is carrageenan. It’s actually found in some organic foods, (i.e. rice and almond milk, infant formulas). Is it any wonder we get so confused when we’re told “organic” is better, but then this ingredient is added to many foods and it is known to cause serious digestive issues, inflammation, and even cancer. Here’s an informative article by Wellness Mama.

It isn’t a problem if we consume these ingredients every now and again, but the fact that they’re added to SO many products, and as our children and/or infants are getting these in their diets, that over a long period of time, who knows what kind of health issues they’ll develop.

I know as a Mom, I wish I knew some of this when my son was growing up. I do know that he has more digestive issues at a younger age than I did. That breaks my heart. We certainly don’t knowingly poison our children. But the fact remains, we must seriously educate ourselves, so we can educate our children, and begin purchasing foods that don’t contain these harmful ingredients.

I now bake all of our breads using flours made from brown rice, buckwheat, and almonds. Some are made without dairy and definitely no yeast. I used to complain I didn’t have the time, but when I was having to heal my body, I made the time.

The next issue I have, buying organic food is expensive. Organic foods are VERY pricey…but, in the long run, our health and the health of our children are more important than price. You can’t put a price on making sure the food that our children eat is really good for them. The payoff later down the road is well worth it.

Bottom line…read your labels. My wellness doctor said, “If you can’t pronounce it, don’t eat it.” Do a little research on some of the ingredients. I suppose I’ve become very passionate about this because of what I’ve had to overcome, which wasn’t a life threatening issue, but nonetheless, it could have become one over time.

Here’s to better health for ourselves and our children…and so it is!

The Law of Attraction…It Really Works

As Christ said, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” What you truly believe about yourself is reflected in your daily attitude. Your negative attitude is brought on by the pessimistic opinion of yourself. Whereas, a positive attitude has a belief in the inherent good of life.

We all have an ego, and when the personal ego is filled with turmoil and frustration of the ups and downs of life, over a period of time, it can deplete the strength and health of a person. When you let the ego get in the way and begin to believe, think, and speak the negative of those ups and downs, then that is what will come back to you by law of attraction, causing a repeated negative process.

Your attitude generates a response inwardly and outwardly. The outer responses are those of others toward us, whether they be positive or negative. The inner responses are our own thoughts in our unconscious mind that contain the negative and positive thoughts. Our attitude will act upon what we are thinking positively or negatively. If we want a better and more positive life, then we need to have a positive attitude daily.

You must realize that you will damage yourself psychologically, psychically and spiritually if your attitude is not positive.

  • Psychological damage stems from accepting failure thoughts. They will become an actual part of your subconscious mind by forming failure thought patterns, which will only compound the present situation, which will lead to further problems.
  • Psychic damage will radiate negative vibrations out to others, which will attract further conditions of failure and negativity into your life.
  • Spiritual damage occurs through your thoughts by putting the negative attitude about yourself into the Universe. By thinking the negative about yourself will be accepted in your Universal mind, and then carried out in nature.

A positive attitude about yourself and your life needs to have a spiritual foundation. A positive attitude does not accept defeat. NO matter what difficulty comes into your life, your positive attitude will show the way for improvement.

Keeping a positive attitude in your every day of life will begin to clear up any negative condition. It will put the positive thoughts out into the Universe, which will in turn come back to you with positive results.

Your life has meaning and by meditating every day, it will bring an inner peace that will guide you out of a negative situation. Creative ideas will come to you to help you solve any problem.

You may have a momentary reaction to a negative situation, but by having a positive attitude, the negative situation or thought will begin to retreat by aligning your mind with positive thoughts with the Universal mind within. Don’t blame others for negativity. Instead look within for guidance to correct the negative situation that involves anyone else.

You will see over time that with the daily practice of meditation, believing in yourself, and speaking positively, that the Universe will respond in kind.

The Universe is for you…and so it is!
